Wet Rough

Problem

Your ball landed in the rough and the tall grass is really wet.

Cure

You have to be weary about the wet grass grabbing the hosel of the club because it will close the clubface. This will cause a pull off to the left with a lower and longer ball flight.

Therapy

Play the ball a little further back than usual with a slightly open stance. Take a stronger grip with your forward hand to help prevent the clubface from turning. Open the clubface slightly so the toe is down and the heel is up to help cut through the wet grass easier. Be sure to keep your lower body still throughout the swing to help prevent hitting the ball fat.
