Use the Wind

Problem

The wind is coming from left to right and your pin is on the right side of the green.

Cure

Take the stress out of this shot. Think about what you need to do as far as aim in order to compensate for the wind. Now, because you know what the wind is going to do and have accepted it, stop thinking about the wind as a problem. Imagine how the wind will shape your shot.

Therapy

Think of the wind as a foam wall that will guide your ball towards the right. A right handed player should to set up to draw the ball into the wind. You will want to approach the ball from the inside. Close your stance a little so you can make a better turn during your backswing. During the downswing, focus on turning your arms to square the clubface. Think about turning the toe of the club towards your target.
