Transfer Through

Problem

You have difficulty escaping the sand due to a slower swing speed.

Cure

Use the transfer of your body weight to help provide extra momentum so you can blast your way out of the sandpit.

Therapy

Set up as usual. Draw two lines, one line three inches in front and other three inches behind the ball. The clubhead should begin to enter the sand at the first line and move under the ball and exit at the second line. Transfer your body weight as you move into the sand at the first line. Nearly all of your body weight should be transferred as you move through the sand under the ball. By completing the weight shift by the time the club exits at the second line, will help you remember to accelerate past the ball.
