Towel Stretch

Problem

You are looking for a way to stretch your arms, sides, and shoulders before teeing off.

Cure

Use your golf towel to aid in some key stretches to help improve your flexibility before playing.

Therapy

Take the towel with both hands in front of you and raise your arms up high. Pull your left arm down towards your left hip so your right arm and upper body stretches towards your left side. Repeat on your other side. For a deeper stretch, grab your golf towel with your left hand and hang it behind your back. Move your right arm behind your lower back to grab the lower end of the towel. With your right arm, slowly pull the towel down and towards your left hip. Allow your body to lean right to feel a long stretch in your left side and arm. Repeat this stretch on the other side with the right arm on top. For a better release, put your hands together and interlace your fingers. Turn your palms out. Push your hands forward to deepen the stretch. Hold for at least ten seconds. Make sure you can do this at shoulder level. Continue to push your arms forward for an additional shoulder and upper back stretch.
