Tip From the Archives
The Stiff Player
Problem
You stretch and have tried thinking just about everything possible to relax but your muscles are still stiff and this prevents proper rotation and contact with the ball.
Cure
For some people, trying to relax will only make their bodies stiffen up even worse. Before playing your next round, take your aggression out on the balls. Once you are exhausted and have endorphins running through your body that you stop stressing over hitting the ball. Then you can get out there and play a real round of golf.
Therapy
For a quick fix, tee up six to twelve balls in a row about six inches apart. Hit the first ball and immediately hit the next one; continue to hit the rest of the balls nonstop. This will stop you from over thinking your swing and you should see less tension in your arms.
