Tip From the Archives
The Lifter
Problem
You tend to keep the club low and lift it up to the top with excessive wrist movement.
Cure
Do not forget to make a full shoulder turn instead of bringing your arms around your body and then lifting the club straight up.
Therapy
Make a more pronounced waggle as you take the club back. This will set you up to make a full turn with good extension. As you do this, think about trying to get the club parallel at the top of your backswing. As you shift your weight forward in the downswing, think about keeping the club on plane and to square the back of your forward wrists.
