Tee Jitters
Problem
You can never seem to get a good drive off of one specific tee box.
Cure
Ask yourself if there is a reason for it. Is it so simple that you just assume you should be able to make it onto the green in one and you end up slacking off on your preshot routine? Do you spend too much time looking at the areas that you need to avoid? Do you normally have a difficult time on the green before this hole? Did you convince yourself that you will never be able to make it and so you do not? If so, remember to take the extra time to visualize yourself making the shot and landing the ball exactly where you want it to. Convince yourself it is possible.
Therapy
Go to this course when they are not busy. Pay for your round but eliminate several holes from it. This way you can work on hitting from the difficult tee box. Find the area you want to land the ball at and decide if this is actually an attainable target. If it is, use this spot as your target but narrow the boundaries of your target area. It will require you to work even harder on your accuracy on this hole. Do not leave the tee box until you can hit in this area at least 5 times in a row. Memorize the feeling of the swing and confidence you had as you did it. Own it, because you own this hole. Move onto the next couple of holes. If the course is still pretty empty, return to your trouble hole another time and repeat the drill.
