Swing the Flag
Problem
You slice the ball and leave deep divots.
Cure
Work on swinging more around your body like a baseball player.
Therapy
When you find that you are leaving deep divots, try to shallow out your swing. A great way to do this after completing your first hole is to grab the flag from the first green. Swing the flag like you would a club with the flag pointing down. Feel the drag of the flag and how it forces you to make a more shallow swing. You will likely notice that you are also extending your arms even more than usual. Repeat this as many times as you can and remember this feeling while you play out your next hole.
