Tip From the Archives
Study the Scorecard
Problem
You want to improve your planning skills on the golf course.
Cure
Plan ahead and study the scorecard for the course.
Therapy
Decide and circle the areas that are ideal to land the ball. Then plan on where to lay up at to help you take less strokes over all. When you play this course, stand at each tee and study each of the circled areas. Notice the terrain and grass texture of each of these areas. Imagine the ball landing in the center of the circle. Each time you set up to the ball, focus only on the circled areas to help you determine where safest place to land the ball.
