Tip From the Archives

Stiff Wind

Problem

You are playing in strong wind conditions.

Cure

Try to reduce the amount of weight shift onto your back leg as much as possible in stiff wind to help keep the ball low.

Therapy

Set up with your weight evenly distributed onto both legs. Do not allow anymore than 10 percent of your body weight to shift back onto your trailing leg. If at all possible, try to limit the weight shift to only 5 percent. This will keep the trajectory even lower to help prevent the effects of the wind.
