Stiff Backswing
Problem
Your backswing feels stiff and you are losing power because of this.
Cure
Although it may be a flexibility issue, it could also be from trying to hold your hips back as you turn your chest away from the target. Holding your hips back can also hinder your ability to swing inside the target line and to make clean contact. Simply making clean contact with the ball at the sweet spot of your club is an excellent way to gain distance.
Therapy
You should allow your hips to turn away from the target along with your chest. This will give you more room to swing inside the target line and create the proper weight shift for additional power.
