Splash or Dig

Problem

You do not know how to deal with the different possible lies in the sandpit.

Cure

Learn how adjust the clubhead in order to splash sand or dig into the sand.

Therapy

For a normal sand shot try to splash the sand out of the bunker. Open the clubface to use the bounce so you glide the club under the ball. Dig into the sand for more difficult shots such as a fried egg or a plugged sand shot. Do this by squaring or even closing the clubface to deloft the club and expose the leading edge into the sand.
