Tip From the Archives
South Paw Swing for an Unplayable Lie
Problem
Trees, bushes, or other obstacles that can prevent you from addressing the ball. This is great if you would rather get the ball out and a little further away than you would if you had to take an unplayable lie.
Cure
Try a left handed shot with the pitching wedge or take a backhanded chip.
Therapy
Take a left handed shot with a pitching wedge with the club head inverted so the toe is pointed down. You might want to choke down on the grip and take a three quarter swing for more control over the ball. Another option for this scenario is to try a backhanded chip by facing away from the target and with your right hand, whack the club in a straight up and down.
