Soft Lob

Problem

You have difficulty hitting a lob shot that stops softly on the green.

Cure

The key to making this shot is to keep accelerating the clubhead into finish with an open clubface.

Therapy

If you are a right handed player, set up with your feet aimed left; in contrast, if you are a left handed player, set up with your feet aimed right. Open the clubface and keep it this way throughout the swing. Although this shot is a stressful one for you to do, it is important that you keep tension out of your hands and arms and to remember to continue accelerating past the ball.
