Tip From the Archives
Sleeve Drill
Problem
You have a lot of leg or knee movement while putting and make poor contact because of it.
Cure
Think of the putter, your arms and shoulders as one solid unit. Think of your legs and hips as a stable post. Work on putting by only turning your shoulders.
Therapy
If your lower body is too active while putting, try placing a sleeve of balls between your knees as you make your stroke. Focus on applying pressure against the box of balls. This will help you keep your legs and hips still so you focus more on your putting and solid contact.
