Tip From the Archives
Skip It Low
Problem
It is a little windy out and you are in between chipping and pitching yardages.
Cure
Try to keep it low and play it a little more like you would if you were chipping than pitching the ball.
Therapy
Set your hands a bit further away from your body at setup. This will lift the heel of the club a little. Instead of thinking about hitting down and hard onto the back of the ball, take more of a putting style stroke. This will help keep it low to the ground or even make it skip onto the green with plenty of roll.
