Skidding Bunker
Problem
You skull the bunker shot because the sand is too stiff.
Cure
To help prevent the ball from skidding off of the stiff sand, make sure you are not placing the ball too far forward in your stance.
Therapy
In order to hold the clubface open in this sand, you will need a stronger grip with your lead hand. Keep most of your body weight placed on your lead leg throughout the shot. The coarser the sand is, the more you will want to flatten out your swing. One thing to focus on avoiding is taking the club back too far on the inside of the takeaway. So try to bring the club back a little on the outside of the target line or directly on it.
