Tip From the Archives
Scheduled Practice
Problem
You play miserably on wet or windy days.
Cure
Instead of practicing on hitting long drives, change your focus to being able to hit trouble shots, varying your shots for different course and weather conditions. Remember, on damp and windy days, you will lose distance because of the air density. All the more reason to play smart. Plan and account for the difference in play.
Therapy
Look at a calendar and schedule days to play golf and to practice on the range. You might find it better to only play on a course just to practice since you will be able to work on a better variety of shots. Play regardless of the weather for these days that you preselected. Allow the breezy and rainy days help train you for playing in this weather during competitions and so you can know how far you hit in these conditions.
