Save Par
Problem
You usually three or four putt and want to lower your score.
Cure
You do not want to see an L shape forming with your hand and arm because you should avoid allowing wrist break while putting. Most players can expect to putt twice on a green; anymore than two strokes on the green is an indicator that you need to improve on making long putts. Since more than half of your score is coming from your short game, you should practice on the putting green longer than you do at the driving range.
Therapy
Try to save par by sinking long putts. Start with short putts to help build confidence and slowly work your way back to the fringe. Focus on getting the speed down from every possible direction on the green. Be certain that you putt across valleys on the green. If there are so many bumps and dips that you cannot tell if it will break left or right then aim straight at the hole and study it as the ball rolls. The next time you play a round, remember to work on the practice green for at least 20 minutes to get a feel for the greens that day.
