Sand Release
Problem
You cannot feel your release in firm sand.
Cure
A common fault for this problem is that players tend to pick the club up right after they enter the sand. This might be from a last second attempt to lift the ball up or to steepen your swing.
Therapy
Practice your swing with only your trailing hand. You want to have a smooth swing where the release comes naturally and the follow through is smooth. If you are using a swing that allows you to try to pick the club up to provide loft, the club will bounce into the ground too early, well before the lowest point of your swing. Remember to use an aggressive swing and to swing more around your body during the follow through so the release will happen easier.
