Tip From the Archives

Rotating Back

Problem

You slice the ball.

Cure

Wear a watch on your lead arm. Work on getting the face of the watch to point towards the target at impact. This simple aid might help eliminate that slice.

Therapy

Keep your leading arm close to your chest as you take the club back. Try rotating your wrists more as you take the club back and through the shot. Focus on rotating your wrists until the face of the watch is pointing towards the sky when the club is taken halfway back into your backswing. As you take your forward swing, focus on getting the watch in the position so that it is pointing at the flag as you make contact with the ball.
