Quiet Hands Drill

Problem

Your hands or wrists move too much during your putting stroke.

Cure

Remember to avoid using any wrist cock with your putter. If you allow your wrist to hinge, it is likely to allow extra movement in your putting stroke. If you cannot seem to stop your hand or wrist movement, try testing out a different grip or even a different putter length.

Therapy

A good drill to help keep your hands and wrist quiet is to place a ball between the grip of the club and just above the wrist of your trailing arm. Keep the ball in this position throughout the entire stroke.
