Putting Stroke
Problem
You are unsure about the difference between the swing required for short and long putts.
Cure
The longer the putt, the more the stroke needs to on the inside of the putting line. If the putt is short, you should keep the putt directly on the line.
Therapy
Practice putts about a foot away from the hole while keeping the stroke directly over the putting line. Then switch to very long putts. Notice how you need to make a longer stroke in order to reach the hole. Keep your hands and arms still during the swing. Allow the putter head to move along the inside of the target line during the backswing and follow through. If you notice that your forward wrist breaks during the stroke, try controlling the club movement a little more with your trailing arm and only allow the release to occur naturally during the follow through.
