Push the Putt
Problem
You get nervous about making short putts and end up missing the cup.
Cure
Use your normal preshot routine; however, try changing your stroke a little to help take your concentration off of whatever it is that is making you anxious about this shot and make you think more about the swing itself.
Therapy
Using a different gripping style or putting with just one hand can help change your focus about the shot. Another great way to do this is to practice making three foot putts by pushing your putts. Set up to the ball with the putter behind the ball. Do not take the club back, away from the ball. Simply push the putter into the ball and extend to the target while keeping the putterhead low.
