Professional Wrist

Problem

You are a duffer and need to improve hitting your middle to shorter iron shots.

Cure

Work on delaying your wrist hinge. Most amateur players lose distance because they approach the impact zone with their trailing wrist straight or even worse, bent towards the target.

Therapy

As you take the club back, you should also start to hinge your wrists away from the target. Keep your trailing wrist bent away from the target as you are approaching the ball, through it, and just past it.
