Tip From the Archives
Poor Hip Turn
Problem
You cannot seem to make a big enough hip turn.
Cure
Work on improving your flexibility by stretching daily.
Therapy
Until you become more flexible, you might want to try flaring out both of your feet at set up or just your trailing foot. Take a slightly narrower stance than usual so you can make a bigger hip turn. You should notice that it is much easier to maintain your initial knee flex because you flared your trailing foot out. The reason you might want to flare your forward foot out is because of the narrow stance and to help provide better control over the speed of your hip turn.
