Plugged Sand Shot

Problem

You have a plugged or buried lie in a greenside bunker.

Cure

Think about cutting a stick of butter. Use the leading edge of your sand wedge in order to cut through the sand to get underneath the ball.

Therapy

Set up with more weight on your forward foot. Keep your hands ahead of the clubhead throughout the entire swing. Lean your body a little towards the target. Try to make the leading edge to move through the sand like a knife cutting butter. When you do, you will notice the ball will be low with lots of roll.
