Tip From the Archives
Pitching Uphill
Problem
You need to pitch the ball up a hill with a small landing area.
Cure
Two common choices are to take a very high shot or to hope the ball will stick somewhere after running the ball up the hill.
Therapy
Although a high lofted shot might feel a bit unpredictable to you, it is more likely to have a quicker landing. Use the club with the most loft that will help you reach this distance. Setup with the ball back in your stance and place your hands ahead of the ball. Allow your hands to cock easily to help steepen your swing. It is very important that you think about nailing the ball down into the ground by hitting straight down on the back of it.
