Pitching Drill
Problem
You are getting more distance out of your pitch shots than desired.
Cure
Try to encourage a steeper swing by placing more weight on your forward foot at the beginning and end of your pitches. Plus, you need to remember to swing more with your arms with a little body rotation.
Therapy
Center the ball in your stance with the shaft of the club standing vertical. Place a ball under the heel of your trailing foot to remind you to place more weight onto your forward foot. Now practice your pitches in this setup so you are unable to transfer the full amount of your bodyweight onto your back leg.
