Pick Up Sticks
Problem
You want to find a way to make your next round challenging and fun.
Cure
Try playing Bag Raid or Pick Up Sticks with a friend. This can be an incredibly fun way to develop creative strategies and shot making skills out on the course. You will learn how to make difficult shots with clubs you have never imagined trying in that situation. Plus, it gives the underdog a better chance at tying the score.
Therapy
Pick Up Sticks is played between two golfers. You play the first hole normal but whoever loses the hole, is allowed take a club out of the winners bag. This happens at the end of each hole but keep in mind, most players agree before playing to never remove the putter. Your goal is to remove the clubs your opponent uses the most. This will leave the person making shots without the appropriate club, for a more creative game play. Just make sure that you each start your round with the full fourteen clubs allowed in your bag.
My friend uses a 7-iron for almost everything. This game will make his rounds a bit more interesting.
there are just 4 clubs that i use. 4 Iron(For tee off), 7 Iron (Mid Range), Sand Wedge and the putter! and i get good scores out it. This game had really removed the fear of using a driver(teeing off), fairway woods and longer irons of the fairway.
