Tip From the Archives
Passive Right
Problem
You swing too much with your right hand if you are right handed or left hand if you are left handed.
Cure
Move your dominant writing hand down the grip or practice swinging without that hand at all to get a feel for how much control you should have with your lead arm.
Therapy
Move your trailing hand down the grip by about three inches and take your normal swing. Only allow this hand to be there for support only. You should notice that you are able to make a better downward blow and more of a swing that is from the inside during your forward swing. If you find that you are pulling more with your forward arm or only swinging with your hands, try swinging without your trailing arm on the grip.
