Pace Your Putts
Problem
You want to learn how to pace off your putts.
Cure
Many pros walk along their putting line to get a feel for the break and speed of the putt. An easy way to learn the pace of your putts is to place a row of markers or tees on the putting green between your ball and the cup. Note how much of an arm swing is needed to reach each marker. Do the same drill on greater and lesser breaks to help you learn the speed of each putt.
Therapy
Pace along your putting line with your normal stride. Repeat this action and each time you take a step, leave a marker at this point. Now practice putting; as you do, pay attention to how far the ball rolls compared to the length of your back stroke. Once you feel you get the hang of doing this, try to stop the ball at each marker.
