Off Of the Toe Error
Problem
You are hitting off of the toe with your irons.
Cure
Have someone watch your swing or record it for you. Watch to see if the shaft of the club ends up taller at impact than it was at address, causing you to hit it off of the toe.
Therapy
Double check your posture at set up. You might not be standing tall enough. If this is the case, then your body is correcting itself during the swing and is forcing the shaft of the club to be more erect at impact. Stand closer to the ball to allow you and the club to stand a little taller at setup. It could also prove helpful to come in a little lower into the ball so that it will feel like the heel of the toe is going into the ground at impact.
I have had this problem for years and can not fix it. I slide into the ball when I start my down swing. This causes you to loos your postures and hit balls of the toe. Help.
