Lower Hands
Problem
You have a hook that becomes a worm burner after flying for a short distance.
Cure
Try lowering your hands and the shaft a little closer to the ground. You might be standing up too tall and therefore limiting your shoulder rotation.
Therapy
Tee a ball and set up as usual with a medium length iron. Lower your body by bending at the waist and sliding your hands down the middle of the shaft. Practice swinging the club with an exaggerated forward tilt. If you try to stand upright during the swing, you will hit the ball thin or miss it completely. This is a great way to train your body to maintain the forward tilt and stay while swinging.
