Tip From the Archives
Low Hook
Problem
You hit mostly hooks with a lower trajectory than desired.
Cure
Check your grip. Your hands might be turned too far away from the target on the grip or your lead hand is setting too much on top of the club, causing your trailing hand to be too far under the club. When you set up, align your hands with the leading edge of the club. So the back of the lead hand and the palm of your trailing hand should both point down towards the clubface.
Therapy
As always, make sure both of the Vs formed by the thumbs and index fingers are pointing towards you trailing shoulder. It will also be helpful to make sure your swing is not too flat. Take a few practice swings while making more of a V-shaped swing to help steepen your swinging plane.
