Lift Your Heel Up
Problem
You feel that you lack the flexibility for a full swing.
Cure
Flexibility in your hips and back can restrict your ability to make a full shoulder turn. Yoga can be great to help you regain your flexibility and make a fuller turn.
Therapy
To help you make a good hip turn you should lift your forward heel up off of the ground as you take your backswing. This is mostly important for your longer swings. It is possible to lift your heel up too much. The shorter the club being used, the less you will need to lift your heel up. Remember to set the heel back down as you start your forward swing. You might also find it helpful to allow your trailing foot to slide during the follow through.
