Know Your Body
Problem
Your distances are inconsistent on a daily basis.
Cure
Naturally, the weather will affect how the ball will fly through the air. The cold weather will make your muscles cold stiff. The more moisture in the air or the colder the temperature, the slower the ball will fly through the air. Also keep in mind that your mood can affect the way you play. Make sure you take some extra time to walk around a little to get warmed up. Then practice before your round so you know what is normal for each of your clubs for that day. Do not let it get you down that you are not playing each club the way you did the day before. Just know what is good for that day and play accordingly to your abilities.
Therapy
You will play differently when you are aggravated or did not get much sleep last night. Pay attention to how you play based on your mood. You will probably hit longer distances when you are angry but the ball will also end up further away from your target line. If this is the case, take an extra minute to take a deep breath and try to relax. Swing at only 80 percent power to help regain control over your swing without fear of a loss of distance. Most people lose distances when they are tired or cold. So walk instead of using a cart or stretch between each hole. Although it may look silly, do a couple of jumping and jacks before teeing off to help warm up your muscles quickly.
If it is cold I wear an Under Armor tee shirt to keep the heat in and my muscles warm. Wearing the high tech stuff means you stay warmer with less clothing.
I agree with Jim, the new clothing keeps you warm without impacting your movement.
