Tip From the Archives
Irons Around the Green
Problem
You need to work on controlling your shots around the green.
Cure
When in doubt, hit the ball low for more control.
Therapy
Practice gaining low and high lofted shots by using your seven iron through sandwedge around the green. Work on closing the clubface for a nice bump and run and opening your clubface for a high enough trajectory to land it on the green. Once you feel confident with this club, hit your eight iron. Continue working your way through the rest of your irons.
