Improved Release

Problem

You need to develop a better release.

Cure

While making long swings, make sure you keep your trailing elbow close to your side as you take the club back and your forward elbow close to your side during the follow through.

Therapy

Practice hooking the ball with your wedges and this will give you a better feel for releasing the club. When you use a high lofted wedge, you need to get your hands and club to turn over in order to hook the ball. Now switch to using a driver or a long iron and remember this feeling you had as your hands turned over when swinging the wedges.

How is it you guys are able to effectively explain something without being right-handed specific, but the big golf magazines can't?

Well, that is because half of the Golf Medic staff are left-handed.
