How to Play a Dogleg
Problem
Doglegs forcing you to play safety shots.
Cure
You might bring a hazard into play if you curve the ball too much. Always trust your instincts so you will be the most confident with your choice. If you feel that the corner is not playable then use a lesser club and land in the middle of the fairway.
Therapy
Start from the side of the tee box that is closest to the corner so the ball will curve in the same direction as the hole. Square the clubface towards the target so it creates a closed club face in relation to your stance if going for a draw or an open if going for a fade. Take a relaxed, confident, yet an aggressive swing for the spin you need to make it around the corner.
