How to Get a Draw and a Fade

Problem

Needing a draw or a fade to make it around doglegs or other obstacles.

Cure

You will need to change your ball placement, stance, and clubface position. When you want the ball to fly straight, your chest should be square to the ball at set up and at impact. However, when you need a draw or a fade, you will have to make a few adjustments.

Therapy

If looking for a slight fade, aim the center of your chest a little left of the golf ball and at impact. Open your stance and keep your clubface open for the left to right spin for a higher trajectory and less carry in a fade. If looking for a draw, aim the center of the chest a little right. Close your stance and clubface before the impact area to help create a right to left sidespin for a more boring trajectory and roll in a draw.
