Tip From the Archives
Hooked or Sliced Putts
Problem
Your putts keep curving or rolling to the left or right of the cup.
Cure
If you are hooking or slicing your putts, make sure you are aimed properly. When you are aimed too far to the left or right, it will cause you to try to correct it with your stroke, resulting in a hook or a slice.
Therapy
Take an extra second to double check the aim of your shoulders, hips, and feet. Make sure your putter is square to where you are aiming. A really simple way to check your aim is to take your putter and set it across your shoulders, hips and feet to make sure they are all parallel to the target line.
