Hitting Harder at Impact

Problem

Straightening your arms too quickly and reducing the power of your swing.

Cure

To hit harder at impact, don’t straighten your arms until just before you make contact with the ball. This should help you power through the ball.

Therapy

Fold your left elbow after impact, rotate your right arm, and hinge your wrists. Your right elbow should still be flexed or bent slightly at impact and extend after contact. Your right palm will be facing up at impact and then your palm should turn down and blow through the back of the ball.

I would caution about "Your right palm will be facing up at impact". In many amateurs that would promote an early release. I would prefer the right palm be more "facing the target" at impact with "facing up" after the ball has left the club.
