Hilly Lie
Problem
Your ball has landed on a hill and you need to learn how to play it.
Cure
Make sure that you swing within yourself. It is very easy to lose your balance or make poor contact if you try to swing too hard.
Therapy
Tilt your body so that it is perpendicular to the slope of the hill. This will help give you the sensation of having a flat lie and therefore a more level swing. Position the ball closer towards the highest foot. So if you are facing an uphill lie, place the ball near your forward foot. If your ball landed on a downhill lie, place the ball near your back foot. Remember, right-above and left-below. This means if the ball is above your feet, then you need to aim a little towards the right to allow for the draw. If the ball is below your feet, then aim a little left due to allow for the fade that naturally occurs from this lie. If you are facing a sidehill lie, aim a little left and stand more upright with your weight centered more onto your heels.
