Heels Down Drill
Problem
You want more power, a natural release, and an easy warm-up.
Cure
Do not rely on your body to produce all of the power. You need to allow your hands and arms help generate power in order to hit further.
Therapy
Try swinging a club continuously a dozen or more times without lifting your feet off of the ground. Do not pause at the top of your swing. This will not only warm up your body for a round of golf but you will also see a more natural release. You should notice after making a few forward and backswings, that the speed has started to increase and continues to do so during each time you swing through.
Great tip, I have done this before every round since my golf teacher taught it to me in college golf, and it really works!
