Tip From the Archives
Half Drill
Problem
You want to improve on your aim as you practice.
Cure
Instead of just trying to reach a specific distance or a general target area, try to land the ball smaller target area.
Therapy
Select where you want to land the ball. You probably have a specific range in mind that is acceptable for the ball to land around your target. Imagine that you cut that area into a left and right half. Now, as you practice, aim for your target but try to get the ball to land on the left side of it. Continue this drill with several of your clubs then repeat it by aiming the ball on the right side. For added pressure, practice with a friend. Keep track of the results for a little friendly competition.
