Grip Position
Problem
Hooking, pulling, or slicing due to poor hand position.
Cure
A weak grip will turn your hands too far left, causing a slice. Adjust the grip of your forward hand to help control the direction of the ball flight. If you use a stronger grip, it will enable you to turn your lead hand over and the easier it will be to catch the clubface square. However, if you turn your forward hand over too much, then it will cause a hook instead.
Therapy
Hold the grip tighter with the last three fingers of your forward hand throughout impact to prevent hooks and pulled shots. Another way to reduce the chances of a hook is to lead your swing with the outer side of your forward hand so it hinders the rotation of your wrists. To help prevent a slice you should lighten the grip pressure of your forward hand; your back hand will control the bottom of your swing to close the clubface and cause a draw from left to right.
