Gentle Hook

Problem

You have a very bad hook and want an easy adjustment to reduce the severity of it.

Cure

One major problem when someone has a hook is that they try to compensate by aiming their feet in too far right, if they are a right hander, which only makes their hook even worse. Try aiming your feet square to the target or even a little left of it.

Therapy

Set up so you aim your body at the target and remember to swing the club along the line of your feet. It would also help if you significantly flare your lead foot out at set up. This will help you slide your lower body and slow down your hips into impact. These minor adjustments will help reduce your hook without having to change your swing style.
