Tip From the Archives
Forearm Tightness
Problem
Your game suffers because of excess tension in the lower part of your arms.
Cure
Before paying, stretch your wrists and forearms to help relax your muscles and prevent a grip that is too strong.
Therapy
With your arms straight out in front of you, bend the wrist of your left hand by grabbing the fingers with your right hand. Then bend the wrist in the other direction by extending your arm out with the palm facing down. Push on the back of your hand to bend the wrist so your fingers are pointing down. You want to feel a pull in the muscles in your forearm when you do both of these stretches. Repeat with your other wrist. Next, you should interlock your fingers together and push your palms out away from your body. Then bring your arms up above your head, back as far as you can, while feeling the muscles in your arms stretch.
