Draw Your Tee Shot
Problem
You need to draw the ball in order for it to land on the fairway. When you draw the ball, it should start to fly towards the right of the target line then curves left.
Cure
Tee the ball a little higher than normal; it will help encourage a draw. Be careful not to use too much wrist action during your downswing or you could result in too much of a right to left ball flight. If you need more control than distance when facing a right-to-left dogleg, try using a 3 wood rather than driver. This will give you a higher ball flight with a softer landing.
Therapy
Align your shoulders, hips, knees, and eyes parallel to the target line. Now to close your stance, move your rear foot back so that it points towards the right of the target. For a stronger the draw, aim your body towards the right of the target to help establish more of an in to out swinging path. Turn your lead hand little clockwise on the grip so you can see an extra knuckle for a stronger grip. Square the clubface to the ball. Just as you should with any tee shot, make sure you slowly pull the clubhead straight back away from the ball for the first few inches away from the ball for a more controlled and powerful hit. You need a nice, rounded swinging plane; swinging more around your body promotes a draw. Visualize that the ball has a face of a clock on top of it; you should try to hit the ball around 4 mark on the clock.
